The new Form I-9 was released on August 1, 2023. Employers must begin using this Form on or before November 1, 2023. Most of the updates to the Form are not substantive and, instead, are designed to simplify the process, with the length reduced from 15 to 8 pages, added explanations, and simplified instructions.
